Every ticket on that serial. Even after the machine changes hands.
ReedPort is small engine repair shop software for the counter, made by North Trestle LLC. You look up the customer, open the machine by serial, add parts and labor, and finish: invoice now or leave it as an order. $40 a month per shop after a 14-day trial with no card.

Sample shop. Made-up names and tickets.
How do I track equipment service history by serial number?
Type the serial into ReedPort, or pull it up from the customer's page. Every ticket ever written on that serial shows up, in order, no matter who owned the machine at the time. There's no separate lookup and nothing to file by hand.
What happens when a machine changes owners?
The history stays on the serial, not the customer. A used Stihl 261 or a Toro zero-turn that comes in under a new name still shows every job it's had. If a serial is already on file under a different owner, ReedPort warns you before you save it under the new one.
What else lives on the machine's page?
The machine header keeps the hour-meter reading and which ticket it came from, plus the purchase date and, for machines you sold, the "Bought here" invoice number. History and Activity tabs sit under the header: History is every ticket on that serial, Activity is who did what and when, right down to a caption on a photo.
Is ReedPort a dealer system?
No. Dealer systems track a machine's lifecycle too, but they bring purchasing, factory price files, warranty claims, and payroll along with it. ReedPort is the part of that day that happens at the counter. See the full comparison.
