Charge accounts. Invoice now, pay later, keep the balance straight.
ReedPort is small engine repair shop software for the counter, made by North Trestle LLC. You look up the customer, open the machine by serial, add parts and labor, and finish: invoice now or leave it as an order. $40 a month per shop after a 14-day trial with no card.

Sample shop. Made-up names and tickets.
What is a charge account?
A charge account lets a customer pay later instead of at the counter. Landscapers, farms, and other commercial customers finish a ticket on their account, and the balance shows up the next time you look up that customer.
How does ReedPort track who owes what?
Every charge account carries aging: 0-30, 31-60, 61-90, and 90+ days. You can see one customer's balance from the Balance tab on their page, or the whole shop's receivables at a glance.
What about tax-exempt customers?
A customer's exemption number and expiry live on their record. Tax is figured per line on every ticket, and the exemption is honored automatically until it lapses.
Is ReedPort a POS system?
Not exactly. A charge account is a note that a customer owes the shop; it isn't a loan or a credit product. When they do pay, you record cash, check, or card against the balance. Card is optional, taken through Stripe at Stripe's published rates, and ReedPort adds no fee.
