What a mower shop does at the counter

A lawn mower repair shop lives on repeat machines. The same rider comes back every spring for a tune-up. A landscaper drops three zero-turns before the weekend. A used walk-behind shows up under a new owner's name with last year's blade and belt work still on the serial. The pain is not writing one ticket; it is finding what you already did, keeping the queue visible, and invoicing without retyping the job on paper.

ReedPort is built for that day. You look up the customer, open or add the machine by serial, punch part numbers and labor codes (or scan a barcode), take a photo of the deck or the hour meter if you need it, and finish. Cost and profit open with your shop PIN; they never print on the customer's copy.

Serial history when the mower changes hands

History follows the serial, not the customer. A used Toro or Husqvarna that comes in under a new name still shows every ticket it has had. If a serial is already on file under a different owner, ReedPort warns you before you save it under the new one. The machine page also keeps the last hour-meter reading and which ticket it came from, plus the purchase date and, for machines you sold, the "Bought here" invoice number. See equipment history.

Spring rush on the calendar, not a whiteboard

Open tickets show on the days they are in the shop, from In to Out. Switch Month, Week, or Day and click a ticket to open it. That is how you see the week's load without a separate scheduling product. Leave a ticket open while a blade or belt is on order, then finish it as an invoice when the parts land.

Landscapers, farms, and pay-later accounts

Commercial mower customers often pay monthly. Charge accounts invoice now and pay later, with aging in 0-30, 31-60, 61-90, and 90+ day buckets. Tax-exempt customers carry an exemption number and expiry on their record; tax is figured per line and the exemption is honored until it lapses. Card is optional through Stripe at Stripe's published rates; ReedPort adds no fee. Cash and check work without it. See charge accounts.

Parts for decks, belts, and blades

ReedPort has no OEM parts catalog and no factory price file. You type or scan the part numbers you use. Receive stock by typing, scanning, or dropping a supplier PDF or photo, review the lines, then confirm so on-hand updates. Type a one-off part that is not on file and Enter adds it as a misc line. What this is not
