Chainsaw and handheld repair shop software for the quick ticket.
ReedPort is small engine repair shop software for the counter, made by North Trestle LLC. Saw and handheld shops use it to open a chainsaw, trimmer, or blower by serial, add parts and labor, caption a photo of what you found, and finish the invoice without a second pass. $40 a month per shop after a 14-day trial with no card.

What handheld repair days look like
Chainsaw and handheld work is high volume and short cycle. A morning can be a dozen saws and trimmers, each with its own serial, a bar or carb kit, and a customer who wants it by Friday. Units change hands often. Damage is easier to show in a photo than in a note. Parts are small and barcode-heavy. The pain is losing last season's work on a resold saw, hunting for a part number that is not in an OEM catalog, and slowing down because the software expects a mouse for every line.
ReedPort is keyboard-first. F4 finishes, F8 opens Tickets, and a USB barcode scanner types into whatever field you clicked. See work orders.
Serial history for saws that get sold
History follows the serial, not the owner. A used STIHL or Husqvarna that comes in under a new name still shows every ticket it has had. If a serial is already on file under a different owner, ReedPort warns you before you save it under the new one. Search machines shop-wide by serial, model, or brand without knowing the owner. See equipment history.

Photos of the bar, the case, and the tag
Take a photo of the machine right from the ticket and caption it. That is handy for a cracked case, a part number off a data tag, or what you found under the cover. Photos stay on the shop side. They never show on the customer's invoice, and they print on shop copies only if you turn that on in Settings. Up to 25 photos per machine on the ticket.
Punch or scan parts without a factory catalog
ReedPort has no OEM parts catalog. Type a part number, scan a barcode, or add a misc line when the part is not on file. Receive stock the same way: type, scan, or drop a supplier PDF or photo, review, then confirm. On-hand updates when parts go out on a ticket. See inventory.
Leave it open when the bar is on order
Finish as an invoice when the job is done, or leave the ticket open while a bar, chain, or carb kit is on order. Print a shop copy as a PDF to send with the order. When the part lands, come back to the same ticket on the same serial. Multi-machine drops get a tab per machine on one ticket if a customer brings a saw and a blower together.
Not a phone-first auto-shop app
ReedPort does not send text messages, review requests, or photo inspections to the customer's phone. It is built for a PC with a keyboard at the counter. Card payment is optional through Stripe; texts and books are not included. See compare and pricing.
Questions
What is chainsaw and handheld repair shop software?
It is counter software for shops that fix saws, trimmers, blowers, and other handheld outdoor power tools. ReedPort writes the work order on the machine's serial, takes captioned photos, punches or scans parts, and finishes as an invoice or leaves the ticket open for ordered parts.
Can I photograph damage on a saw or trimmer?
Yes. Take a photo from the ticket and caption it, up to 25 per machine. Photos stay on the shop side, never on the customer's invoice, and print on shop copies only if you turn that on in Settings.
Does a barcode scanner work for small parts?
Yes. Plug a USB barcode scanner into the PC. Click the part field on the ticket, on Receive, or in inventory search, then scan. The number lands as if you typed it. There is no scanner app to install.
How much does chainsaw repair shop software cost?
