# Sign in

Chapter: Getting your shop open
Who this is for: Any returning user.
Trigger: Opening the app while signed out.

## What the clip says

Email and password, then Sign in. That lands on Customers, the daily starting point.

Email and password sign in to the counter. A dead subscription still lets sign-in succeed, then sends every shop
screen to the renew screen.

## Steps

- Type **Email** and **Password**, then click **Sign in**.

- Use **Forgot password** below the form if the password is lost.

## What happens to money and stock

Nothing moves.

## Watch out for

- A wrong email or password says "That email or password is not right. Try again."
- An unconfirmed account is blocked until email is confirmed.

## Not yet

There is no single sign-on. Every user signs in with an email and password.
